“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.”
― Elizabeth Kübler-Ross
I asked people who were struggling with Grief to define the word…some of the answers were:
- Living Hell
- Heart Breaking
- A period of time when someone is stricken with a lingering feeling of great sadness, coupled by feelings of disbelief and hopelessness
- Never Ending
- I had no idea grief comes with fear
- Both a physical and mental agony I will live with for the rest of my days
I then asked How do you get through the day? What helps?
- Faith
- Nature
- Medium
- Therapy
- Support Groups
- Believing it was God’s plan
- Know that their pain is gone
- Eternal Peace
